VerifAIX Raises $5M for AI Verification Platform

By: Women Entrepreneurs Review Team | Wednesday, 16 September 2026

AI-native semiconductor verification startup VerifAIX has raised $5 million in seed funding in a round co-led by Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC. The funding will support the company’s efforts to advance its semiconductor verification technology and expand its operations.

According to the company, the new capital will be used for product development, customer deployments and the expansion of its engineering teams across the US, India and Israel.

Founded in 2024 by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe and Avner Landver, VerifAIX is developing an AI-native verification platform designed to help semiconductor engineering teams manage the growing complexity of chip designs. The platform aims to improve the speed and rigour of the verification process.

VerifAIX combines artificial intelligence with formal methods to build a verification trust layer connecting design specifications, register-transfer level (RTL) and verification assets. The approach is designed to provide traceability across the verification process, from initial design intent through to closure.

Key Highlights:

  • VerifAIX has raised $5 million in seed funding to advance its AI-native semiconductor verification platform
  • The startup will use the funding for product development, customer deployments and engineering team expansion
  • VerifAIX combines AI and formal methods to improve semiconductor verification and traceability

The startup's “Formal Brain” provides a mathematically-based design knowledge and intended behavior. It can reason across specifications, RTL and verification assets to find inconsistencies and gaps, and then leverages this to make verification planning, formal analysis, simulation, coverage, debug and verification closure.

VerifAIX is combining specification-to-RTL reasoning, automatic decomposition and abstraction, and concurrent formal and simulation verification to handle complex designs with traceability to design intent. It targets custom-silicon developers such as semiconductor and IP companies, processor and AI accelerator developers, hyperscalers and systems companies.

It is not just the boom in semiconductor design that is emerging; India's semiconductor startup ecosystem is seeing the introduction of AI-native verification platforms as well.

Vyoma Systems, a deep-tech startup based in Chennai, and incubated at IIT Madras Pravartak, is developing a platform called UpTickPro, which uses AI to pre-silicon verify. The platform incorporates functional verification, FPGA validation, and bring-up of software and security analysis.

The development follows the increased investment in Indian semiconductor startups. In total, companies raised $61.9 million in the first half of 2026, bringing the total amount raised since 2022 to approximately $206 million, according to the report from Speciale Invest and Startup Policy Forum.

Recent rounds of investments include BigEndian Semiconductors' $6 million Series A funding round for its fabless SoC platform, and the Series A round of $13 million, which was raised by HrdWyr to support the creation of AI-native SoCs.
