UP CM Distributes Appointment Letters to 1097 Women Nurses

Yogi Adityanath delivered appointment letters to newly appoint nursing officers at a ceremony held in Lucknow on 19th March, 1097 are women.

During his address to the newly appointed nursing professionals, CM indicated that these appointments occur during the festival of Chaitra Navratri, and are part of efforts to provide women with an increased level of empowerment.

In addition, he pointed out that newly appointed officers will improve their ability to provide service delivery throughout the health service sector.

He was able to show the number of newly appointed officials who were female by asking newly appointed officials how many females were in attendance. CM also had a chance to speak personally with several newly appointed nursing professionals at the ceremony.

The Chief Minister explained steps taken to increase healthcare infrastructure, which included reopening 35 ANM training centers and building 35 new nursing colleges. He said healthcare has been a key focus area. He cited examples such as improved figures in terms of mortality rates. He said the state was now at par with national averages in terms of such figures.

He went on to speak about initiatives taken to increase employment and healthcare facilities. This included plans to set up medical and nursing colleges across districts under the One District, One Medical College initiative.
