Three Female Wushu Athletes from Arunachal Pradesh to Shine at 2023 Asian Games

Three female Wushu athletes from the Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, have achieved a significant milestone by securing their spots to represent India at the prestigious 2023 Asian Games. The 19th Asian Games are scheduled to take place in Hangzhou City, China, from September 23 to October 8, 2023.
The talented athletes from SLSA who will proudly represent India at the Asian Games are Mepung Lamgu and Onilu Tega, both of whom will compete in the women's 'Taijiquan' category, and Nyeman Wangsu, who will participate in the women's 'Changquan' category. Their selection for the Indian Wushu team is a testament to their dedication, skill, and relentless training under the guidance of SLSA's Wushu coach, Maibam Premchandra.
Tadar Appa, the Sports Director, expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of these athletes, not only for the academy but also for the entire state of Arunachal Pradesh and the nation as a whole. He firmly believes that this trio will make India proud with their outstanding performances on the global stage.

The departure for Hangzhou, China, is scheduled for September 20, 2023. The athletes will depart from New Delhi to join the Indian contingent for the 19th Asian Games.
