THF signs MoU with District Health Society of Ranchi promoting Menstrual Health

The Hans Foundation (THF) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with Menstrupedia, MVM Nutritional Products, and the District Health Society of Ranchi, Jharkhand in order to improve rural healthcare facilities, promote menstrual education, and provide nutritional supplements to combat anemia, aiming to revolutionize menstrual health and hygiene among girls and women in Jharkhand. The event was organized at the Conference Hall of the District Sadar Hospital in Ranchi.
The District Health Society Ranchi and The Hans Foundation are partnering to improve healthcare at the Primary Health Centre in Usha Matu, Ratu block. The partnership will upgrade facilities, increase staff, and enhance medical resources, aiming to enhance healthcare access and education in Jharkhand. Collaboratively they will handle registrations operational support and recruitment and daily activities.
The Hans Foundation and Menstrupedia together will create educational materials and Mini Menstrupedia comic books on menstrual health for young girls and women in rural Jharkhand. India faces significant adolescent health issues, particularly where low education, inadequate healthcare, and poverty contribute to anemia. The THF is working to address these issues by operating 72 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs), and community healthcare centers, and launching initiatives like the Girl Education project and a Livelihood Project.
