The Woman’s Company, an emerging D2C player in sustainable hygiene, has garnered $1.4 million in Pre-Series A funding, led by Pradip Burman, Chairman of Mobius Foundation and senior member of the Dabur family.

In addition to this, the funding round included Anuradha Gupta and several global HNIs based in the US. Donna George (USA) and Surya Bhatia will soon join the company’s board. DPNC Advisors served as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction.

Established in 2020 by Anika Parashar (CEO) and Roopam Gupta (COO), The Woman’s Company is continuously addressing the unmet needs and gaps in India’s growing ₹33B hygiene market with eco-friendly, dioxin-free product innovations. The brand has a robust presence across major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Nykaa, and Zivame.

Sharing her thoughts on the funding, Anika commented, “This new infusion of funds will be used to build a safe community for women to engage, access information, and sustainable essential products catering to their health, whilst preserving the environment. In addition to increasing our Indian market share, we will be establishing a significant presence in the US where our vision is to create impact across every household with our quality eco-friendly products as well as our healthcare platform.”

The brand has repositioned to increase its sustainability awareness, and has also introduced fully biodegradable, eco-friendly, and dioxin-free products to meet changing consumer demands and behaviour. Angel Investor Anuradha welcomed her association with the company, citing its focus on empowering women and sustainability, and expressed optimism about its growth.
