Kerala's Literacy icon KV Rabiya passes at 59 battling Cancer
Kerala's literacy icon, KV Rabiya, passed away at 59 after battling cancer. Despite being wheelchair-bound since 14, she dedicated her life to adult literacy, women's empowerment, and social reform. Rabiya's body was placed for public homage at Tirurangadi PSMO College and laid to rest in a local mosque.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Announces Revival of Inactive Women's Commission
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta declared on Monday that the Delhi Commission for Women, which had been dormant for some time, will be reactivated soon to deal with the increasing number of pending cases related to women in distress.
Addressing the ‘Rashtriya Mahila Aapke Ghar Jan Sunwai’ event, organised by the National Women Commission, CM Gupta underscored the pressing need for a working women's commission, citing that there are almost 1,500 cases pending action.

In response to the deadliest terror attack killing 25 Indians and 1 Nepali civilian, including a local Muslim pony rider in Pahalgam, which occurred on April 22, the Indian government and military have responded by launching "Operation Sindoor", a series of strikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Operation Sindoor aimed to dismantle terror infrastructure and deliver justice to Pahalgam victims, targeting nine sites in Pakistan and PoK, focusing on cross-border linkages. The Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force jointly executed the operation striking Bahawalpur, Muridke, Tehra Kalan, Sialkot, Bhimber, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad, known to host training camps for JeM, LeT, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

Indore to Host Three-Day Celebration for 300th Birth Anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar
On the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, the Union Ministry of Culture will host a grand three-day function from May 29 to 31. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will also join the celebration.
