The R&A has announced the launch of the Women in Golf Leadership Foundation Programme in India, with the backing of the DP World India Championship Legacy Fund. The programme is designed to ensure that emerging women leaders develop the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.

Ten individuals drawn from various parts of the golfing world in India have been chosen to join the first programme cohort, where they recently took part in a leadership training session in New Delhi. The participants will continue their training in the next few months, after which they will come together again at the DP World India Championship in October.

The rollout of the programme in India is facilitated through the DP World India Championship Legacy Fund. During the following months, the participants will undergo various activities that include workshops, coaching, mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning, all aimed at enhancing communication, strategies, and career development.
