Telangana Miniter KTR launches India's 1st women-owned industrial park in Hyderabad

The country's first 100 percent women-owned 'FLO Industrial Park' has opened in Hyderabad, India, allowing female entrepreneurs to run and operate their businesses from this location.

In Hyderabad, the 'FLO Industrial Park' began operations with 25 green projects. The FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) is promoting it in collaboration with the Telangana government. At the Park, 25 women-owned and run units representing 16 different Green Category Industries have begun operations.

The FLO Industrial Park in Hyderabad, which covers 50 acres, was built with a budget of Rs 250 crore. It is the national flagship project, with participation open to Chapter Members and FLO national members.

During the industrial park's inauguration ceremony, minister KT Rama Rao promised an additional 100 acres for the expansion of the FLO women's industrial park, subject to the park's focus on novel products. Provide an additional 10% subsidy to female entrepreneurs.

Jyotsana Angara, National Governing body member, FLO, said, "We launched the first FLO Industrial Park which is 100% women-owned & driven, spread in about 50 acres of land with 25 green projects. This manufacturing unit is a pretty innovative product base. He has requested to bring in a higher investment than what we have done here. In this park, we have brought in 250 crore of investment."

FLO was founded in 1983 as a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), India's apex industry and commerce body. As an All India Women's Organization, FLO has 18 Chapters across India, including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Northeast, Pune, Amritsar, Northeast, and Uttarakhand, with its headquarters in New Delhi.
