TATA Women's Premier League (TATA WPL) 2024 held its match 13 which became an astonishing moment for the Gujarat Giants fans as they made their maiden win in the tournament. The team has previously suffered back-to-back defeats with low run rates. This time, Captain Beth Mooney-led Gujarat Giants came prepared to make a change and create history. They did just that by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by 19 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

They not only secured a win but they made the highest score of 199/5 in 20 overs in TATA WPL so far. The partnership of Beth Mooney and Laura Wolvaardt led Gujarat Giants to their maiden win of the season. Phoebe Litchfield added 18 off 17 to the total score.

In their defense, the Gujarat Giants proved to be great batters and phenomenal defenders as they restricted RCB to 180/8 and grabbed 8 crucial wickets. Ashleigh Gardner gave a splendid spell of 2/23. The match ended with Gujarat Giants securing their first win after four losses in the first four matches.
