Tata WPL 2023 Tickets Go On Sale; Women to get free entry to Matches

The Tata Women's Premier League 2023 is all set to start this Saturday, 4 March 2023. The tickets for the inaugural season of the match are going to be available on BookMyShow which is the official ticketing provider of the season.
The tournament will be of 22 matches where the first match will compete against Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. Females will have a chance to watch the tournament free of cost but men and boys, need to pay a reasonable price of Rs. 100 and Rs. 400 respectively.
The free distribution of match tickets for women is a strategy of BCCI, which is to promote more female viewership for women's matches. This move was also executed in the Women's T20 series between India and Australia to boost the attendance of women viewers in the tournament.
Bollywood stars, Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani along with music sensation AP Dhillon appear at the opening of this tournament of Tata WPL. Viewers have the chance to watch it live in the stadium or they can also experience the thrilling match on their smartphones on Jio Cinema app for free. Sports18 Network will also show the live streaming of WPL for their TV viewers.
The title sponsor of WPL is Tata as they have bought the rights for the next five years of WPL matches.
Rajiv Sabharwal, MD and CEO of Tata Capital stated that they hope that this collaboration with BCCI and WPL will help to promote women of India in sports and provide them equal opportunities for the same.
