Tata WPL 2023: Delhi beats Gujarat Giants by 10 wickets

The Tata WPL 2023 Gujarat Giants vs Delhi Capitals: On Saturday 11 March the 9th match of Tata Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 was held between the franchises Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Stadium where GG was defeated by 10 wickets by the Delhi team. Team DC is currently placed in the second position with 6 points in the points table.

Gujarat Giants won the toss and captain Sneh Rana elected to bat first against Delhi Capitals. Team Delhi gave tough competition to their opponents and limited GG to 105 in the fall of 9 wickets. The target seemed to be easy for DC as they covered a score of 107 runs in just 7.1 overs. The players of GG were thrashed by the wicket keepers of DC as Marizanne Kapp made an impeccable 5 wicket haul for 15 in the first innings and bagged the title of ‘Player of the Match’. Additionally, Shikha Pandey took 3 for 26 and Radha Yadav took one wicket for 22 of Georgia Wareham. Delhi power player, Shafali Verma made her first fifty on just 19 balls. She has given an electrifying performance and taken all the limelight for her 76 not out off just 28 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. It is her second fifty in the inaugural WPL 2023.
