Sumitra Shetty Named Talent Access Leader for India at Kenvue

As the new Talent Access Leader for India and Early in Career Lead for APAC, Sumitra Shetty has reached another milestone in her journey as a leader in talent. This promotion highlights Kenvue's continued commitment to Sumitra's talent access, early career recruitment, and people strategy for India and the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to this position, Sumitra was a Talent Acquisition Partner for Kenvue in India and the APAC Early in Career Lead. She also has experience leading the function within India as a Talent Acquisition Partner. This progression of positions illustrates strong internal advancement and increasing involvement in talent acquisition and early career strategy.
Before her tenure with Kenvue, Sumitra worked at Sanofi in the capacity of Manager – Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding. She expanded her knowledge of recruiting, employer branding and talent strategy within the healthcare and life sciences industries while working there.
Before this, she was employed by Unilever as a Senior Talent Advisor, where she had a talent acquisition focus involving talent acquisition across numerous verticals. In addition, her scope of responsibilities included Talent Mapping, Succession Planning, D&I Initiatives, HR Reporting, and Driving the Recruitment Digital Roadmap for India using AI-enabled tools or systems. This position greatly enhanced her experience in terms of strategic hiring, stakeholder partnerships, and digital transformation within recruitment.
Prior to that position, Sumitra Shetty was employed as a Deputy Manager/ Talent Acquisition at Cipla, where she handled all aspects of talent acquisition end to end, including new hire induction and orientation; compensation discussions, leadership hiring; employer branding; budget management; and creation of dashboards and reports.
In addition, she contributed to developing a more robust centre of excellence for talent acquisition, while also supporting HRMS-specific initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she worked as a Human Resources Specialist for Accenture, where she gained onshore deployment experience with Hindustan Unilever Ltd, which provided her with the operational and business-facing foundation of HR that helped inform her later development into a leader of talent acquisition.
