Suman Yadav Takes Charge as Wakefit's CHRO

Suman Yadav has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Wakefit, effective October 1, 2026. She brings over 25 years of experience in human resources leadership, people strategy, talent management, and organizational transformation.

Suman joins Wakefit after serving as a Strategic Advisor at NeonRay. Before that, she held the position of Director, Human Resources at Amazon and also worked in a senior HR leadership role at Infosys BPM. Earlier in her career, she served for five years as a Captain in the Indian Army.

Suman spent more than 12 years with Amazon, serving as Director, Human Resources from January 2013 to September 2025. During her tenure, she worked across India Technology and other business teams, leading people strategies and supporting organizational growth.

At Amazon, Suman played a key role in expanding the company’s technology organization in India, helping scale its workforce from around 150 employees to more than 5,000. Her experience across technology, business, and people leadership will support her new role at Wakefit.

She had roles in organizational design, leadership development, performance management and succession planning. She additionally spearheaded global university hiring in over 40 countries and was involved in early-career talent programs.

From October 2025, until joining Wakefit, Suman was a Strategic Advisor at NeonRay. Her specialism was people strategy, organizational design, talent architecture and workforce planning.

She also says that she is a human resources domain expert for an Artificial Intelligence development project, where she assesses human resources enterprise applications, such as recruitment, succession, pay equity or compliance.

Suman has started her corporate HR career as Senior Lead Business Partner HR at Infosys BPM from August 2009 to January 2013. She took charge of HR strategy work for the BFSI vertical in various offices including performance, compensation, engagement and compliance.

Previously, she served in the Indian Army in the rank of Captain from 01 September 1998 to 29 April 2004. Her duties were logistics, planning and managing resources, and managing staff.

Suman has an impressive track record in human resources across technology, e-commerce and business services, and is now handling the HR affairs at Wakefit. Her addition brings a seasoned HR leader on board with extensive experience across the workforce planning, leadership development, talent management and organizational design arena to the board.

Suman is an Executive Program in Business Management and HRM from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and BSc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Maharshi Dayanand University.
