Allied Aviation has been appointed as the General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) for SAS Cargo in India, supporting the airline’s new five-times-weekly cargo services between Mumbai and Copenhagen. The partnership will take effect from October 1, 2026, as SAS Cargo begins its nonstop, year-round connection between the two cities.

SAS Cargo will operate the Copenhagen-Mumbai services using Airbus A330 aircraft. As part of the agreement, Allied Aviation will manage cargo sales, supervision and revenue optimisation across the Indian market. The appointment will support SAS Cargo’s efforts to build its presence in India while providing exporters with direct cargo capacity to Copenhagen and connections to the carrier’s wider network across Scandinavia and beyond.

Kritika Seth, Executive Director of Allied Aviation, said the partnership adds an important airline to the company’s portfolio and will provide Indian exporters with direct access to Copenhagen. She added that Allied’s established relationships with freight forwarders across India will help generate demand for the new services and support SAS Cargo’s expansion in the Indian cargo market.

Key Highlights:

  • Allied Aviation has been appointed as SAS Cargo’s GSSA in India for its Mumbai–Copenhagen cargo services
  • SAS Cargo will operate five weekly flights from October 1, 2026, using Airbus A330 aircraft
  • Allied Aviation will handle cargo sales and target pharmaceuticals, perishables, machinery, garments and e-commerce shipments

Allied Aviation will pursue all kinds of cargo, such as high-value pharmaceuticals, perishables, engineering goods and machinery, garments and e-commerce shipments, on the Mumbai routes.

The firm will leverage its pan-Indian sales team to reach the exporters and freight forwarders with the new service. It has offices in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.

The new route will improve cargo connectivity between India and the Scandinavian countries. According to SAS, Mumbai is India's biggest international trade centre and the Copenhagen service will link Scandinavia and India via five weekly flights from its global hub in Copenhagen. Cargo capacity will be available on the sales channels of SAS Cargo and Allied Aviation in India.

The position also marks Allied Aviation's expanding airline representation portfolio, which is a mix of national and regional airline sales expertise. The company will help the development of the new India-Nordics cargo corridor while its network of offices and existing relationships in the freight-forwarding sector will support the commercial activities of the carrier.
