- Nandini Matiyani joins Strides Pharma Science as Executive Vice President and Global Head of HR
- Her appointment will further strengthen Strides Pharma's global talent plans
- She will be leading the HR function across Strides Pharma's global operations
With over two decades of experience, Nandini Matiyani has joined Strides Pharma Science as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources at a time when the company is strengthening its global talent strategy.
She made this announcement on LinkedIn, saying that she is “embarking on a new journey” with Strides and will be leading the global HR function across the organisation’s international operations.
She further expressed gratitude to Arun Kumar, Non-Executive Chairperson, Founder and Promoter Director; Badree Komandur, Managing Director and Group CEO; and the board for their support.
Nandini brings over 20 years of experience in people strategy, cultural transformation, and HR leadership across multinational and publicly listed companies.
She added that her focus at Strides will include building capabilities, reinforcing organizational culture, and supporting the company's objective of delivering "better and fairer healthcare" through agility, innovation, and strong people practices.
Incorporated in 1990 and based out of Bangalore, India. Strides Pharma Science operates in over 100 countries globally, primarily in regulated markets and donor-funded programs (as well as through its 'In Africa For Africa' approach). The company maintains an international manufacturing presence through facilities in India, Italy, Kenya, and the USA.
According to Nandini: "I look forward to partnering with teams around the globe to build on our talent and culture as we build our global presence."
As a result of this appointment, Strides is actively investing in developing leaders and creating a positive company culture given the increased competition within a highly regulated and price-sensitive market.
Although no further organisational changes have been announced by Strides, the addition of an HR Leadership role demonstrates the company's ongoing commitment to developing its talent systems and capabilities to support its expected growth within several strategic markets.
