STI Hub hosts Program to Assist Women's Entrepreneurship

In collaboration with BTC Government, The STI Hub, CIT-Kokrajhar has hosted a 'Women Entrepreneurship Meet' programme on March 15, 2024 in order to promote women’s entrepreneurship. The programme was led by P.I. Dr. Pranav Kumar Singh.

The event witnessed the participation of BTR’s 40 women entrepreneurs while highlighting accomplished women resource persons. The resource persons include:

1. Ranjila Mahillary (Chirang district),

2. Raheil Basumatary (Kokrajhar district)

3. Rangila Basumatary (Kokrajhar district)

4. Er. Dolly Bhasin (Delhi)

5. Archana Mohan (Delhi)

6. Deedhiti Saikia (Delhi)

These women shared their stories while Er. Dolly Bhasin who’s the founder of SmartEdge has delivered a keynote address during the event accentuating women's participation in business along with emphasizing the support available by government schemes. The event observed a decent participation of women who are small-scale entrepreneurs that reflects a progress of women’s contributions in the entrepreneurial realm.

In addition to the participation, Government of India’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs awarded Ranjila Mahilary with MagicKa le Extraordinaire award for her achievements. Ranjila expressed her gratitude and shared her story of how she grew a pickle business with all ups and downs.

Moreover, Rahel Basumatary lauded the efforts which are being made by STI Hub in addition to encouraging women to engross in entrepreneurial events.
