Sony Music Publishing Names Roslyn Pineda President of Asia

- In this capacity, she would assume responsibility for creative and business operations in several Asian countries
Sony Music Publishing has officially announced the appointment of Roslyn Pineda as President, Asia.
In her new role, which involves leading creative and business affairs operations for the company within various Asian territories, Pineda will be required to develop and sustain relationships with the company’s clients and industry partners within the territories, as well as act on behalf of the interests of the songwriter community within the same territories.
The role will be based in Hong Kong, with Pineda answering to Guy Henderson, President International, Sony Music Publishing.
Commenting on her appointment, Roslyn specified that she looks forward to working with the team at the regional level in the capacity of supporting songwriters in Asia as well as establishing a creative and innovative environment.
Guy Henderson reinforces this feeling with his acceptance, emphasizing that Asia is an additional growth market for the company.
He further points to Roslyn’s experience in artist development and more than 20 years within the music industry, which could be beneficial to the company’s growth within this market.
Roslyn takes over from Carol Ng, who will remain with Sony Music Publishing through to her planned retirement at the end of March 2026.
Before this appointment, she held the role of General Manager, Philippines, at Sony Music Publishing, prior to which he was Vice President, Artist Relationships & Business Development, Asia.
Roslyn's career has seen her working with international artists of various genres, while signing some of the biggest Filipino acts. She was also responsible for securing the acquisition of the ABS-CBN music catalogue in 2024.
In 2025, Roslyn was recognized as Music Industry Executive of the Year at the Billboard Philippines Women in Music event. In interviews, she has always pointed out how essential it is to support indigenous talent and balance cultural significance with commercial success in recognizing achievements in the industry.
