SKUAST-K & Agri Industries Vikas Chamber hold National Conference for Women Entrepreneurs

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) held a groundbreaking national conference for women entrepreneurs, "UDAAN," in collaboration with the Agri Industries Vikas Chamber at the university's Shalimar main campus for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship Center in order to empower women entrepreneurs, marking a significant milestone in the region's entrepreneurial landscape. The conference united professionals, startups, and young minds to celebrate women's entrepreneurship and empowerment, bringing together a diverse range of individuals.
The chief guest, Dr. Hina Shafi, chairperson of the J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board, emphasized the importance of Khadi and Village Industries in promoting women's empowerment. Insha and Nusrat, two physically challenged yet determined professionals were honored during the event. They serve as role models for society encouraging women's empowerment. The UDAAN Women Empowering Event at SKUAST Srinagar provided women entrepreneurs with resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to succeed in the competitive business landscape.
Additionally, other delegates marled their presence during the event including, the Guest of Honor, Prof. Nazir A Ganai, Vice-Chancellor of SKUAST-K, Dr. Mehjabeen Nabi, Director of Care Foundation, Prof. Haroon R Naik, Director of Research and P&M, Dr. T.H. Masoodi, Registrar of SKUAST-K, Dr. Azmat A Khan, OSD to VC SKUAST-K, and Dr. Naveed Hameed, Chief Executive Officer of the SKIIE Center.
