Sheeba George Takes Charge as Virgin Atlantic India Manager

Virgin Atlantic has named Sheeba George as Commercial Manager – India, effective October 1, 2026. The appointment marks an expansion of her leadership role at the airline, where she has spent over 15 years strengthening its commercial operations and building key partner relationships across India.

With more than 25 years of experience in aviation and commercial operations, Sheeba has worked across airline sales, strategic account management, business development, partnerships and revenue growth. She will take up the new role after serving as Regional Sales Manager – North India since May 2025, where she focused on strategic accounts, corporate business opportunities, partner engagement and revenue growth.

She joined Virgin Atlantic as a Senior Account Manager, India in February 2011. She has spent over 14 years in that role before being promoted to Regional Sales Manager – North India. Having worked in the Indian aviation industry for a long time, she has a vast experience in dealing with the corporate customers and travel trade partners and managing them.

Prior to his appointment with Virgin Atlantic, Sheeba worked for United Airlines in 2010-2011 as Assistant Manager with GSA InterGlobe Air Transport. Prior to this, she worked for Delta Air Lines for around eight years, again as an Assistant Manager, gaining experience in forecasting, negotiation and sales planning. She started her aviation career in 1998 with SAS – Scandinavian Airlines as Sales Support Executive until 2002.

Sheeba will be responsible for Virgin Atlantic's commercial operations in India as Commercial Manager – India. She will be closely connected with customers and trade partners and will be instrumental in achieving the India Country Sales Plan and sustaining the growth in the Indian market.

Virgin Atlantic is a British airline that was founded in 1984. The carrier has international services like transatlantic flights and connections to New York, Orlando, Caribbean, Delhi and Johannesburg etc.

Virgin Atlantic operates through a joint venture with Delta Air Lines, Air France and KLM, and is able to connect customers with over 350 cities in North America, Europe and the UK. As far as international travel is concerned, the airline keeps on prioritizing customer experience, accessibility and sustainability.
