Sania Mirza bids Adieu to Tennis

The Indian ace tennis player, Sania Mirza bids adieu to her 20-year-long game on Tuesday 21 February 2023. She had her last match at the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championship where she was defeated in the first round.
Sania along with her partner Madison Keys had a match in the women's doubles tie where they lost against the pair Veronika Kudermetova and Liudmila Samsonova with a set of 4-6, 0-6.
Sania is a six-time major title winner who has a huge fan following worldwide. As it was her last match, people all around the world came to appreciate it.
It was indeed a great match to view as nobody knew what the result would be. Both the teams gave tough competition to each other. In the first half, the Indo-American team performed well but in the second half, Samsonova's serve landed in the middle of the ground. Things came in the favor of the Russian team which declared them as winners.
The fans who were present at the court cheered up their player, the stadium was filled with cheers saying "Saaaniaaaa, Saniaaaa."
After the match, Sania came up to the press and expressed her gratitude to her fans and her game. She said that " If there was some way I could just come out and compete without having to put the work in, I would take it, the amount of work that goes into taking care of my body, the mental, emotional part of it, is something that I do not have to drive for."
