  • Rosewood Hotel Group has introduced a yearly initiative, “Rise to the Table”, aimed at empowering women in the workplace
  • The completely sponsored international program aims to foster next-generation leaders in the hospitality industry
  • The initiative has participants from throughout the food and beverage sector, not just Rosewood staff

Rosewood Hotel Group and Rosewood Foundation have launched “Rise to the Table”, a fully funded annual international initiative to advance women in culinary and beverage careers.

The program offers leadership development training, mentorship, and career advancement opportunities, with the objective of reducing the gender imbalance in leadership roles, since less than 7 percent of the world's best restaurants are headed by women.

The 2026 program will welcome 10 global industry leaders in the food and beverage sector for a seven-night stay at Rosewood Hong Kong in early March.

The stay will include professional coaching, strategy workshops, and workshops on personal brand building, financial savviness, and sustainability-focused innovation.

The participants will also be involved in industry-related activities such as wine tastings, visits to nearby farms and markets, and group dinners with Hong Kong's visiting chefs.

After the residency, each participant will be assigned a Rosewood leader for a one-year mentorship, providing ongoing professional development and support.

Rosewood Foundation, created in 2022, is dedicated to furthering accessibility, equity, and sustainability in communities. With Rise to the Table, the foundation brings these objectives to the hospitality space by investing in women with resources, knowledge, and avenues for advancement.

The initiative is designed as an annual program, with subsequent residencies to take place at Rosewood hotels around the globe.

The program, as reported by Rosewood Hotel Group, aims to increase access to opportunities for leadership roles, to mentorship, and to a global network of women professionals in the food and beverage industries.
