Rajasthan Pre-Budget Outreach, Parliament Budget Sess Plans Finalised

- Centre finalized Budget Session plans after consultations with stakeholders.
Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, had a pre-budget interaction with interested female students pursuing studies in the social sector at his residence. The Chief Minister said women were moving ahead in every stream in terms of skill development, and the state government was doing everything in their capacity to support women in terms of decisions and policies. Students belonging to technical and higher educational institutions, along with other officials, were in attendance.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the President Droupadi Murmu has given the approval for the sitting of both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2026, starting from January 28. Posting on the microblogging site X, Rijiju said that the first phase of the Budget Session will be concluded on February 13. Parliament will reconvene on March 9.
On the other hand, Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman initiated 10 pre-budget meetings before the Union Budget 2026–27. Apart from the officials and experts from the agriculture sector, the meeting was attended by the representatives from the sectors of MSMEs, capital markets, manufacturing sector, services sector, technology sector, BFSI sector, tourism and hospitality sector, start-ups, trade unions, and labor unions.
The Union Budget is usually presented on February 1. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will most probably present Union Budget for the year 2026–27 on February 1 this year.
