The Congress introduced five promises to the people of Madhya Pradesh which is a BJP-ruled state on Monday. In order to replicate the success story of Karnataka, Congress is making efforts in Madhya Pradesh where the Assembly elections are scheduled to take place later this year.
During a rally in Jabalpur, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi launched the party's election campaign by promising that every woman would receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 if the party wins in the state.
She also pledged 200 additional United of power at a discounted rate in addition to 100 units of free electricity for every household. If Congress comes into power in Madhya Pradesh then every household will receive an LPG cylinder at Rs 500. Priyanka also pledged that the party would cancel farmer loans and reintroduce the previous government employee pension program.
The BJP government has been targeted by Priyanka for making fake promises during the rally. She claimed that the BJP government was attempting to create a falsely good image of the state while the people here were suffering from the effects of unemployment and inflation.
She even claimed that the BJP government plays with emotions by using divisive lines to grab power. She urged the people to become more cautious, comprehend the BJP's plans and select a government that would be accountable to them and focus on the welfare of the citizens.
