Priti Chakraborty, Chairperson of Universal Medical College Hospital, was honored with the 'Shopnojoyi Nari Shommanona' award at a ceremony in Dhaka on Saturday. She was lauded for her significant contributions to women's leadership, as mentioned in a press release.
Weekly Arthakantha, in collaboration with NRB World and Business America Magazine, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special event honoring excellence and achievements in business. Faiz Ahmed Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The event featured the unveiling of the special anniversary issue and the Arthakantha Business Excellence Award 2025. Panel discussions on women's healthcare systems, challenges for women in leadership, and the gender gap in STEM. Additionally, 20 visionary and accomplished women from Bangladesh and overseas were honored with the 'Shopnojoyi Nari Shommanona Award 2025".
Priti Chakraborty, a health entrepreneur and social worker, is the Chairperson of Universal Medical College Hospital Ltd., a prominent private healthcare institution in Bangladesh. Under her leadership, the hospital has expanded its academic and healthcare services, focusing on quality medical education and fostering future healthcare leaders. Priti Chakraborty is also involved in other initiatives and organizations contributing toward healthcare.
