India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have shown that women-led development can lead to more effective socio-economic growth, according to President Droupadi Murmu. She praised the UAE leadership for ensuring the welfare of over 35 lakh Indian citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. She emphasized the positive outcomes of empowering women and promoting their leadership in various sectors, contributing to socio-economic growth. She praised the UAE leadership for fostering policies promoting gender equality and women's empowerment, demonstrating the effectiveness of women-led development.

The president made the statement during a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi. Murmu expressed satisfaction with the high participation of women in Emirati society and the effectiveness of women-led development in socio-economic development. She also noted expanded partnership agreements during the Crown Prince's visit. She further emphasized the importance of people-to-people ties in the historic and forward-looking bilateral relationship with the UAE, highlighting the third generation of UAE leadership's engagement.

The statement mentioned, "Both leaders agreed that India and the UAE have societies with a syncretic and multicultural heritage and that the path of peace, tolerance, and harmony shown by Mahatma Gandhi and H. H. Sheikh Zayed, are deeply imbibed in our national character." India's Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Ujjwala Yojana have empowered women in rural areas, improving education, health, and economic opportunities. The UAE has also promoted gender equality, appointing women to ministerial roles and advocating for female representation in various sectors.
