  • President Droupadi Murmu has stated that India's vision for women-led transformation is ‘unshakeable and clear’
  • She emphasized that women are performing as scientists, soldiers, and in so many other professions

President Droupadi Murmu on Thursday reiterated that India's vision for women-led transformation is clear and firm, pointing out that women today are succeeding as scientists, soldiers, doctors, entrepreneurs, and leaders in various walks of life.

She told that women now are no longer waiting for opportunities but are going ahead with confidence, giving leadership and bringing about change.

President Murmu spoke about how women in Indian society are respected as symbols of strength, and the nation is progressing with a dream of giving them more recognition and more responsibilities.

Addressing a gathering through a pre-recorded video address to the "SheShakti" programme of News18 Network, the President called this transformation as "not just change, but a revolution."

Referring to the reforms such as the Lakhpati Didi Scheme and the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, she stated policy-driven initiatives are transforming women's empowerment into a robust, institutional movement.

The Lakhpati Didi scheme introduced in 2023 empowers women in self-help groups to earn more than ₹1 lakh a year, whereas the constitutional amendment ensures one-third of Lok Sabha and state assembly seats are reserved for women.

"Concept of transformation through women's leadership has now attained strong contours," Murmu added, stating that SheShakti not only brings about recognition of success but also new vigor to the change spirit.
