News18's First Regional Event SheShakti 2025 Honoring Women Leaders held in Mumbai

News18 Sheshakti, the leading India platform dedicated to recognizing and enabling women leaders and change manufacturers, is set to launch its first regional edition in Mumbai on July 31, 2025. Organized in collaboration with Lions Clubs International, this edition established the scenario for the third season of Sheshakti.

From Breaking barriers to the construction of Bharat”, the Mumbai edition focuses on celebrating the power, potential and progress of women in Maharashtra and beyond. This Marco event will illuminate women's achievements in governance, entrepreneurship, social impact, education, media, sports and public policies, inspiring the next generation of women throughout India.

The forum is designed to promote significant conversations, guidance and opportunities for women in leadership roles and those who aspire to lead. The goal is to encourage collaboration, provide visibility to women's innovations and promote the inclusion of women in decision -making spaces that shape the future of India.

Prominent participants are Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, IAS leaders such as Sujata Saunik and Ashwini Bhide and senior women in positions of power such as Sunaina Tomar. International diplomats such as Ambassador Chavanart Thangsumphant (Thailand) and Mateja Vodeb Ghosh (Slovenia) will also be present at the event making it more diverse with global voices on women's empowerment.

The discussion will include prominent women leaders, such as Naiyya Saggi (Edition), Priyanka Salot (The Sleep Company), Priti Rathi Gupta (LXME), and Laxmi Iyer (Bajaj Finserv) who will provide an opinion on perspectives on investment, financial inclusion, and entrepreneurship among the women.

Other business leaders of influential voices in media and entertainment including Nimrat Kaur, Renuka Shahane, RJ Malishka, Olympian Anjali Bhagwat, para-badminton champion Manasi Joshi and Sarita Sonawale that will take part include Sarita Sonawale, who received the Savitri Bai Phule Award.

News18 SheShakti Mumbai Chapter is going to be live-streamed on July 31 at 4 PM on News18.com and YouTube and Facebook that share the CNN-News18 banner.

This regional growth is further evidence of the importance of us having women speaking loudly and proudly of their accomplishments, as well as creating a more inclusive Bharat, fuelled by the likes of strong women with vision.
