Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 to be awarded by Droupadi Murmu

11 chosen youngsters will receive the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2023, from India's President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony today, on January 23. The prize bestowment will take place at Vigyan Bhawan today.
Following today's award ceremony, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi shall confer with Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardees on January 24, 2023. Following that, a congregation with Smriti Zubin Irani, the ministry of women and children's development, and Munjpara Mahendrabhai, the minister of state, will take place.
The prizes are open to kids between the ages of 5 and 18. These awards are granted to a select group of students who excel in the 6 categories of educational success, bravery, entrepreneurship, creativity, and sports. Four pupils will get awards in the artistic and cultural area this year, along with one each for bravery, creativity, and social service, and three kids in the sports category.
Each awardee will get a medal, a monetary award of Rs 1 lakh, and a certificate at the award ceremony. In the interim, a nationwide painting competition will be held in 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country to celebrate Parakram Diwas, the anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth.
