PHDCCI SHE Forum Chair Highlights Role of Women Entrepreneurs

Alka Gurnani, Chair of the PHDCCI SHE Forum, Haryana presented various aspects of the economic contributions of women entrepreneurs and shared the Forum's initiatives around mentorship, gender diversity and supporting women-led start-ups.

The Chief Guest, Priyanka Soni, IAS, Director of Women and Child Development, Government of Haryana, commended the Forum for creating a viable engagement and inspiration framework for women entrepreneurs and women in leadership, and discussed the importance of skill development, financial literacy and market access as key strategies for empowering sustainable business growth of women entrepreneurs.

Bharti Sood, Senior Regional Director, PHDCCI, added that the organisation is aligning with women-led development through continuous dialogue and capacity-building approaches to empower women entrepreneurs.

In a panel on creating resilient businesses, including Leena Singh from Amway India, who talked about maintaining consistency and versatility; Abhilasha Sharma from engage, who mentioned new product development and being customer-centric; Swinky Sharma from CodeAurorix, who discussed addressing business challenges with technology; and Shikha Gupta from AlternateLoop, who brought up sustainable product development. There were more than 70 women entrepreneurs at the event from the region.
