With voices of strength and unbreakable willpower, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) welcomed 'SHE POWERS' which is an empowering evening to celebrate women-led leadership and entrepreneurship.
The event brought together changemakers, entrepreneurs, policymakers as well as visionaries at the LPS Auditorium, PHD House in New Delhi, with an intent towards testify to a shared commitment to empowering women across industries.
Organized under the inspiring guidance of Dr. Aruna Oswal, Chairperson Women, Child Development & Entrepreneurship (WCD&E) Committee, PHDCCI, along with Co-Chairs Dr. Blossom Kochhar and Mrs. Archana Aggarwal, the event was a colourful celebration of common cause.
During her welcome speech, Dr. Oswal stated, “SHE POWERS is not just a word, it’s a movement. A reminder that when women rise, society progresses. Women today are shaping the future not just in traditional fields like handlooms or home-based businesses, but also in high-tech industries, IT, and corporate leadership. Their presence is being felt from grassroots innovation to cutting-edge technology.”
The event was organized in partnership with NITI Aayog's Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) and Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), underlining the power of public-private collaborations towards creating a more inclusive future.
Principal Economic Adviser at NITI Aayog Ms. Anna Roy gave emphasis on WEP’s transformative role as a builder of inclusive ecosystems. She said, “Over 72,000 women are registered on our platform. Our goal is to ensure that no woman is left behind due to lack of support or access. We believe in nurturing Ichcha Shakti (willpower), Gyan Shakti (knowledge), and Sankalp Shakti (determination) — the forces that truly power women forward.”
