PAFL Names Lisa B as HR Head for Tommy Hilfiger & Calvin Klein

PVH Arvind Fashions Limited (PAFL) has appointed Lisa Basumatari as its Head of Human Resources (HR) for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein businesses in India, adding to its leadership team as it moves towards continuing investing in talent development, organizational effectiveness and workforce growth.
The appointment comes as a step up in his leadership role at Arvind Fashions Limited, where Lisa held the position of Head of Talent and Organizational Development. In her last role, she was instrumental in driving the company's talent management, leadership development, and organization-wide people transformation programs.
Lisa becomes the head of the human resources for two of PAFL's flagship international fashion brands in India with this change. Her appointment comes as retail and fashion companies are increasingly investing in leadership capability, employee engagement and talent retention to help ensure businesses continue to grow over the long-term in a competitive market.
With rich experience in human resources and people management, Lisa's skills encompass talent management, organizational development, learning and development, leadership capability building, campus relations and employee development. She has a proven history of over 25 years in designing talent strategies, organizational change and driving workforce capability programs across various industries.

Her elevation is a testament to her long tenure of talent development and organizational capability building. She was a key contributor to Arvind Fashions' programs to build leadership pipelines, build capability of the team and drive large scale people transformation. The experiences are expected to complement her new responsibility as the leader of the people business for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein in India.
Prior to this, Lisa served as General Manager, People Resources and Deputy General Manager, People Resources at McDonald's. She spent her days in the fast food industry working on HR operations, talent strategy and employee engagement campaigns.
She was also Head of Learning & Development, Talent Management and Campus Relations at SMEcorner, responsible for conducting programs to build employee capabilities, develop leadership, and engage with the campus. Her job was to develop talent development programs and assist in workforce development plans.
In addition to fashion and food services, Lisa has a diverse range of career experiences and expertise across retail, banking, media, consulting and learning solutions. She has served in companies like Reliance Retail, RBL Bank, Viacom18 Media, Training incorporate, Synergy Relationship Management Services and The Learning Canvas.
In her tenure, she has acquired expertise in organizational development, learning strategy, talent management and HR capability building in the consumer sector. Such a cross-sector exposure is becoming more worthwhile in the current retail landscape where business leaders are looking for people leaders who are able to link people's strategies to business goals and are dealing with evolving workplace expectations.
The appointment brings PVH Arvind Fashions' focus on developing strong people leadership skills as it continues to grow its premium presence in the Indian fashion market with its Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands.
