Women’s wellness brand Nua has secured $50 million in a Series C funding round led by Peak XV Partners and Filter Capital. Existing backers Mirabilis Investment Trust and Footpath Ventures also participated in the round.

The funding includes a combination of primary and secondary transactions. The secondary component will allow partial exits for existing investors, including Kae Capital, Lightbox VC and some angel investors.

With the latest round, the Mumbai-based company has raised about $71.5 million in total. Its previous funding includes a $4 million (Rs 35 crore) pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust in February 2025.

Nua plans to use the new capital to strengthen its brand presence and expand its distribution network. The company will also invest in research and development and introduce new products as it looks to broaden its presence in the women’s wellness market.

Key Highlights:

  • Nua raises $50 Mn in Series C funding led by Peak XV and Filter Capital
  • Funds expansion across products, distribution and R&D
  • Revenue reaches Rs 500 Cr, with 3 million+ monthly users

According to Peak XV Partners, Nua has become the second-largest online player in India’s women’s wellness category. The company has focused on building a broad portfolio covering different aspects of women’s health and personal care.

Founded in 2017 by Ravi Ramachandran, Nua offers products across period care, maternity care and everyday intimate wellness. The company says its products and services currently reach more than 3 million women and girls every month.

Nua is said to have reached its annualised revenue run rate of Rs 500 crore in the last 24 months without making a loss. It has also grown beyond its product lines to include Nua Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat.

For the new investment, Nua will expand its footprint in the women's wellness industry and develop an extended product and digital services offering based on changing women and girls' needs. Nua's $50 Mn round is one of the biggest funding rounds for a women's hygiene business in India with Pee Safe's $32 Mn round in January this year. Some other competitors in this field are Whisper, Stayfree and Sofy, etc.

India's healthcare market for women's wellness products is fueling Nua's growth. Today, consumers are seeking products that cater to a variety of women's health needs, ranging from menstrual care to intimate health to maternity. This change is opening up opportunities for brands to expand their product range and boost their online and offline presence.

The company has also been dedicated to developing direct relationships with consumers via digital products. Its Period Tracker App and SecretKeeper chat add to its physical wellness offerings with information and support on women's health. The combination of products and digital services will be further developed by Nua for their customers' needs in the future.
