Nita Ambani Receives 2023 USISPF Global Leadership Award

Nita Ambani was recognized with the prestigious 2023 USISPF Global Leadership Award for Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility. The award ceremony, held in New Delhi on October 29, was a testament to her extraordinary contributions and leadership in philanthropy and social responsibility.
At the event, Nita Ambani expressed her gratitude and humility in accepting the award on behalf of her team, emphasizing Reliance Foundation's significant impact, having positively influenced over 71 million lives. She underscored how Reliance has a long-standing commitment to giving back and doing good, emphasizing that caring for the planet, humanity, and the nation is an integral part of its philosophy.
Commending the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), Ambani acknowledged its pivotal role in strengthening ties between India and the US. She highlighted the Forum's six-year track record in fostering people-to-people and business-to-business connections between the two nations.
Ambani's impactful leadership through Reliance Foundation has been instrumental in positively influencing millions of lives in India, particularly in the realms of education, arts, sports, and healthcare. Her dedication to women's and children's causes stands as a cornerstone in bridging gender disparities and maximizing women's contributions to India's growing economy.
Recognized for her substantial contributions to arts and culture, Ambani was elected as the first Indian Honorary Trustee on the Board of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai has received widespread acclaim, becoming a hub for top-tier Indian talent in performing and visual arts.
Reliance Foundation's initiatives have not only nurtured young athletes at the grassroots level but have also propelled them to global recognition. As India's representative in the International Olympic Committee, Ambani led the successful bid to host the 141st IOC Session in India, rekindling Olympic aspirations and advocating for cricket's inclusion in the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
John Chambers, Chairman of USISPF, highlighted the importance of philanthropy and social responsibility, recognizing Ambani's altruistic efforts, particularly in arts, sports, culture, and education.
