Entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in transforming the country’s face in the global economy for the better especially the participation of women entrepreneurs as the contribution of women in their workplace has undergone a drastic change in the past few decades and women have evolved to hold a respectable position in the society.  Currently, India has about 13.5 to 15.7 million women lead enterprises that makes around 20 percent of the overall enterprises and these businesses approximately provide employment opportunities for about 22 to 27 million people. Thus, they are considered to be high performance-oriented enterprises that play a vital role in elevating the country’s overall economy. 

For over a few decades, women began to break the stereotype of being at home occupied with the domestic chores, facing a lot of struggles, they managed to handle their professional life as well as personal life along with flawlessly managing their house responsibilities despite having work pressure. This hard-working nature and dedication found in them has indeed elevated the status of women’s business women in society today. Furthermore, the social, political, and economic changes have paved the way for various creation of opportunities for women as well as giving them greater acceptance and recognition in the corporate world. The women entrepreneur that include women or a group of women who initiate and organize and operate a business enterprise. 

However, women made gradual progress in the business world and have been giving tough competition to their male counterparts. For quite some time now, women have made their make in the Indian business scene and have registered a remarkable achievement. Furthermore, the number in relation to the overall number of small-scale enterprises is yet very small, in comparison with the global trends, it does not portray much difference. 

Moreover, the country’s scenario is rather disturbing, as the non-working women that make the majority of womenfolk in the country are dependent. With the intention to transform the present situation the country has been taking various measures at the national level to address the issue and to encourage women to take up entrepreneurship even at the basic level such as providing funding and other schemes to empower women especially socially back warded women.

India has introduced a lot of facilities to support women entrepreneurs such as financial assistance by giving better finance and credit as mentioned according to their requirements. Given a woman a certain amount to empower them to initiate the entrepreneurial journey. Provide access to business support and information that include better integration of business services. Providing the latest information science and technology science and technology to match the basic characteristics of entrepreneurs and the fundamental character of the Indian women is necessary to show that a lot of potential among Indian women for their entrepreneurial skills. This potential could be considered as suspended and for use in manufacturing and to provide services for the development of the country. 

With this, the women entrepreneurs could escalate the country's overall economic status and aid the country in achieving the country's dream of increasing India's economy.
