
NAREDCO MAHI Hosts Women Achiever Awards 2025 in Mumbai

- The Global Women Trade Summit 2025 was held between October 3 to 6, 2025
The International Women's Federation of Commerce and Industry (IWFCI – India National Chapter) hosted with success the Global Women Trade Summit (GWTS 2025), a 4-day celebration of women's leadership in trade, technology, and innovation, on 3-6 October 2025, with 30 delegates from 11 nations including the USA, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Uzbekistan, and prominent Indian entrepreneurs and educators.
On Day 1, the B2B Meet commenced at World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai, where over 150 Indian entrepreneurs attended to meet international delegates for potential collaborations and trade.
Day 2 witnessed the formal opening of GWTS 2025. Dr. Vijay Kalantri, President, World Trade Center, Sunit Rajan, MD – APAC Media Sales & Marketing, Bloomberg Media, Diana Abruzzi, Founder & International Chair, IWFCI, and Dr. Daphne Pillai, Founder President, IWFCI India, made speeches on the theme of the summit, "Women as Catalysts of Global Trade."
The first panel session, "India – Advantages and Opportunities for Trade and Commerce", was chaired by Dr. Rema Ramchandran, Director, IWFCI India, with inputs from Bhavana Bindra, Board Member, Radiance, Kennametal India, Geetha Nerurkar, Founder & CEO, Maxim Global Resources Pvt Ltd, and Pallavi Gill, CEO, RCMPA Polishing Technologies Pvt. Ltd. They shared their views on India's changing trade scenario and developing international opportunities.
The second panel, "The Power of Collaboration: Women Leaders Driving Sustainable Businesses", chaired by Ann Rapheal, Oil & Gas Consultant, had Jayati Chakraborty, Managing Director, Hapag-Lloyd AG, Dr. Mita Dixit, Co-founder, Equations Advisors Pvt. Ltd., and Metilda Stanley, MD, Techsurance Private Limited, who discussed strategies and experiences in collaboration driving sustainable business practices.
The day ended with a workshop on "Building an Authentic Brand in the Era of AI" by brand specialist Parinita Adukia, offering hands-on tips on building personal and professional branding.
Day 3 included a panel on "Emerging Opportunities for Women in Technology, Innovation & Global Trade", chaired by Geetanjali Bhattacharji, Founder & CEO, Glassbox Venture.
The panelists were Priyanka Swain, Director of Engineering – Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd, Sonali Nimkar, Director (Data Science & AI) – Capgemini, and Anil Nair, Co-Founder, DeepSpot.AI, who discussed mentorship and ways to break barriers in technology.
One significant session, "Empowered Women, Empowered Economies", showed opportunities across nations, with IWFCI Presidents sharing plans from their respective countries to promote cross-country collaboration.
