  • Announcement made by Myntra on Tuesday.

Myntra, the Bengaluru-based fashion e-commerce platform, has launched ‘MynShakti,’ a dedicated program to support women entrepreneurs. The initiative is designed to empower women across India by providing them with essential tools, resources, and mentorship to excel in the competitive e-commerce industry, as announced by the company on Tuesday.

During its pilot phase, MynShakti aims to onboard around 100 women sellers, offering tailored support for smooth integration into Mantra’s platform. The program is designed to promote business growth, financial independence, and meaningful change, empowering women-led businesses to achieve their objectives.

“MynShakti builds on Myntra’s ShECommerce initiative, offering a dedicated support system for women entrepreneurs. It equips them with the necessary resources to navigate the e-commerce landscape. This program goes beyond business growth it aims to promote financial independence, encourage leadership, and create lasting impact. We’re thrilled to welcome a new wave of women-led brands to Myntra and look forward to their success,” said Govindraj MK, CHRO of Myntra.

MynShakti offers seamless onboarding with dedicated account managers to optimize performance. Women entrepreneurs will receive training on cataloging, pricing, and operational best practices. They will also have access to expert-led webinars and mentorship sessions for advice on marketing and order fulfillment. The program provides valuable insights on customer trends to help with strategic decision-making, along with support to enhance visibility and engagement on the platform.

MynShakti builds on the success of Myntra’s ShECommerce initiative, launched in August 2024 to encourage women’s participation in e-commerce. The program currently supports a vibrant community of over 6,000 members and offers several key initiatives, including:

ShE-roes Unplugged: Webinars where industry leaders share valuable insights and experiences.

Internship & Mentorship for College Students: Aimed at young women in Tier 2 and 3 cities, this initiative provides access to role models and career opportunities.

A Day in the Life at Myntra: An immersive experience at Myntra’s Bangalore HQ, giving students a firsthand look at the e-commerce industry.

With over 9,700 brands such as MANGO, H&M, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, and MAC, Myntra offers a top selection of fashion and beauty products to millions of customers across India. Reaching over 95% of the country's pin codes, Myntra continues to innovate and redefine shopping experiences.
