Harshaali Malhotra, who played Munni in Salman Khan's 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan, received the Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar Award.
Malhotra dedicated her triumph to her co-star Salman, the film's director Kabir Khan, and the casting director Mukesh Chhabra, posting a sequence of photos of herself holding the coveted trophy on her personal Instagram account on Sunday.
“This award is dedicated to Salman Khan, Kabir Khan, and Mukesh Chhabra uncle for believing in me,” Malhotra captioned the photos and tagged all three of them.
“…And for the full Bajrangi Bhaijaan team. Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar National Award from Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari (Governor of Maharashtra),” she continued.
Malhotra, who was eight years old when she portrayed Munni in 2015, is now between the ages of 14 and 15.
