Uttarakhand Govt. Nominated Geeta Khanna as SPCR's Chairperson

The Uttarakhand government has nominated BJP politician Vishwas Dawar's sister Geeta Khanna, who also operates a private hospital in Dalanwala, as the chairpersonof the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, ahead of the state's implementation of the model code of conduct (SPCR). According to reports, the job was empty for more than seven months, resulting in the pending of about 200 complaints. According to child rights advocates, now that all of the SCPCR's vacant posts have been filled, the case will be closed and justice will be served to countless children. According to state government sources, just roughly 160 cases were handled this year from May to December.
