Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian National Cricket Team, was assigned as a mentor for a group of potential Under-19 women cricketers during a workshop held by Mastercard. The workshop was titled 'Cricket Clinic- MSD' which was recently held at Mumbai's renowned Wankhede Stadium, where the legendary cricketer provided training to 15 female players. MSD also gave some tips and advice to the budding players regarding the field.
This initiative was taken by Mastercard which aimed to support female cricketers. The organization held a contest through their social media platforms for young women cricketers. The cricketers who have a great passion for their game were chosen to get interesting and instructive experiences.
Dhoni guided the players in an overall term. He taught them about how to handle pressure, stay fit, be career-oriented through cricket, and also create the right game plan. In the coming weeks, more such programs and events are planned.
He also motivated the players and provided them with technical expertise in wicketkeeping, batting, and body movement techniques. In the end, Dhoni signed the Mastercard bats for the girls and snapped pictures with them.
