Nizamabad Member of Legislative Council, K Kavitha has stated that the ‘safety of girls’ is the top priority of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s government and it takes complete responsibility for the safety of women in the State.
K Kavitha was part of women’s safety celebrations which was organized by Hyderabad’s Home department as part of the Telangana decennial formation day celebrations. She remembered how within a very brief time period after the formation of the State, Chandrashekar Rao had formed ‘She Teams’. “If the police in the State are three lions, then CM KCR is the fourth lion who is behind them and leads them without being seen,” said Kavitha.
CM KCR has sent a message that looking at girls with ill intentions would lead to problems and become inspirational to the country. Following Telangana’s lead, She Team was formed in 18 other States, said Kavitha. She also mentioned that while it was speculated that the formation of Telangana State would lead to the rise of Naxalism, rowdyism and there would be communal riots.
K Kavitha explained that in the past nine years, there have been no instances of curfew even for a single day and no communal riots in the State. She also highlighted the various investments flooding the state of Telangana due to the excellent security provided by the police.
