Mars Snacking Names Sonali Roy as Chief People Officer for AMEA

Mars Snacking has announced the induction of Sonali Roychowdhury as the newly designated Chief People & Organisation Officer for the Asia, Middle East, and Africa (AMEA) region, effective January 2026.
With more than 25 years of experience in the field of people and culture in several multinational corporations such as Procter & Gamble, Kellanova (previously known as Kellogg Company), and Mars, Sonali will be based in Singapore.
Through a statement on LinkedIn, Sonali has explained that this career position represented a “unique opportunity to bring together two iconic businesses, building on deep values and complementary cultures.”
She showed her excitement to work through Mars Snacking’s associates in the region to achieve success in this company.
Sonali is recognized for her knowledge in the areas of scale-up in organizations, mergers and acquisitions, as well as large-scale integration.
Her skills include culture and leadership integration, operating model design, as well as talent retention during times of large-scale change.
Her career background has offered her an immensely broadened international outlook with experiences in various environments in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Being a staunch supporter of contemporary HR trends, Roychowdhury has been acknowledged for her pragmatic approach, commercial acumen, and human way of doing business.
Over the years, she has also partnered with the C-suite, advising them on strategic matters and assisting them in dealing with complex and uncertain scenarios. Since the past decade, she has also been advising startups in the field of HR technology.
Roychowdhury has also acquired senior-level education from prestigious institutions like XLRI Jamshedpur, Columbia University, as well as Cornell University’s ILR School. In addition, she is also known to be a motivational influence on senior HR professionals in the region.
