Malabika Das Joins Novotel Hyderabad HICC as Sales Director

The Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) have appointed Malabika Das as Director of Sales. With her vast experience in the field of hospitality sales and business development, she will be heading the sales department and work towards enhancing market prospects for both the establishments.

In her new role, Malabika will be in charge of managing the sales operations at both establishments by initiating plans that will help generate revenues and create more opportunities for the hotel brand. She will ensure sustainable growth of the high-margin areas such as MICE events, weddings, corporate events, leisure travelers, and other social events.

Malabika comes with more than 16 years of professional experience in hospitality sales, business development, customer relationship management, and strategic planning. Over these years, she has managed to develop skills in generating revenues, building up effective sales teams, and nurturing client relationships in the hospitality industry.

Prior to working for Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Malanika was working as Director of Celebrations in Hyatt Regency Dehradun Resort & Spa, where she managed to plan budgets, generate business opportunities, and manage the events portfolio of the hotel.

Previously, she has been the Assistant Director of Sales at Novotel Kolkata Hotel & Residences, during which time she has played an important part in developing sales functions, managing strategic clients, and increasing customer involvement. She has had the opportunity to be the Sales Manager at ErevMax Pvt. Ltd., The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, JW Marriott Kolkata, Hyatt Regency Kolkata, Creative Horti Farms, and ITC Sonar Kolkata.

These companies and experiences allowed her to garner expertise in the areas of corporate and group sales, MICE, wedding, key accounts, and business development.
