- The Mobile App will be dedicated to the Access of all Govt Schemes for Women
- The initiative is a part of the Fourth Women's Policy 2024
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has ordered the creation of a mobile app to consolidate all government schemes for women, as part of the Fourth Women's Policy 2024. The initiative includes establishing hostels, daycare centers, and self-help groups, promoting women's participation in tourism, ensuring access to healthcare, providing housing solutions, and offering a one-stop solution for accessing various schemes.
CM Eknath Shinde mentioned, "Through this policy, the state government is creating an enabling environment for women and girls. Keeping in mind the population of Mumbai city, emphasis should be placed on establishing hostels for working women, daycare centres for children, women's self-help groups in slum areas, and other needy places, providing stalls to self-help groups on a rotation basis, developing tourism projects to increase women's participation in the tourism sector, and implementing government schemes for women fishermen. Implement various schemes for tribal women effectively."
The CM added, "Work should be done to complete the projects planned to solve the housing problem on time, provide health facilities to women immediately, and increase health facilities in line with the times."
CM Eknath Shinde proposes a Mumbai app to streamline government schemes and support women in filing complaints. The app should be available to all women, and the atmosphere at police stations should be supportive. Shinde believes this will help women contribute to the state's one trillion economy.
