Madhurima Mukherjee Takes Charge as Vodafone Idea VP HR

Madhurima Mukherjee has been appointed as Vice President HR Circle Head by Vodafone Idea Limited. Madhurima possesses more than 12 years of corporate experience in human resource management and has expertise in HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain and Workforce Planning.

Her new assignment brings her into a senior HR leadership position within Vodafone Idea after her stint within several industries. This marks a shift from strategic HR sourcing and supply chain to circle level HR leadership in the telecommunications industry.

Madhurima has been working in diverse industries including Automotive, Consumer Appliance, Diversified and Information Technology, and has immense experience in the field of HR Business Partnering, Talent Management and Workforce Planning & People Strategy.

Her professional journey started with Tata Consultancy Services where she worked as a Talent Specialist for almost four years from June 2014 to February 2018. The exposure helped her build her fundamentals in talent management and further helped her form the basis for her transition to strategic HR business partnering and general people leadership roles.

Before Madhurima assumed her role at Vodafone Idea Limited, she had previously been working for more than three years at Hero MotoCorp as Lead HRBP, Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain between May 2023 and August 2026. In her capacity as Lead HRBP of Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain, she worked closely with the business leaders and groups to ensure that the work force matched the business requirements. The experience added manufacturing and supply chain exposure to broaden her HR experience.

Previously, she has worked as HRBP, India at Philips Domestic Appliances from June 2022 to May 2023, and helped in aligning people agenda in India for the organization. She has rich experience in the areas of strategic HR partnering, talent alignment, capability development and workforce planning among others.

Madhurima gained considerable experience in strategic HR management from February 2018 to April 2022 with Aditya Birla Group as a Senior Manager HRBP and Group Manager – HRBP. During that time she was able to gain substantial knowledge of people management and business partnering in a diversified corporate setting.

In the academic domain, she is an MBA degree holder in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, from the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management obtained between 2012 and 2014. As per her new mandate at Vodafone Idea Limited, she will leverage her multi-sector Human Resources experience in talent management and workforce issues.
