As Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrates his 75th birthday, greetings have been flowing in from all over India, with individuals cutting across sections of society—farmers, women entrepreneurs, and small shopkeepers alike—acknowledging his leadership and sending their regards.
On the list of people thanking him are the Lakhpati Didis, women who have been benefited in their lives by government schemes towards financial independence and empowerment.
Women in Dulhipur village, Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh, attributed their escape from poverty to the Lakhpati Didi Yojana.
Vimala Devi, who now calls herself a Lakhpati Didi, said the scheme has made her and her group financially independent, educated their children in quality schools, and even upgraded their living standards.
She thanked the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister for their backing and prayed for long life and service of the Prime Minister.
In the same vein, in Odisha's Khordha district, women attested to the beneficial effects of several schemes implemented under the Modi administration.
Rehana Begum narrated her turnaround from being poor to running a small shop, where she could sustain her family.
Hasina Bibi, who has a tailoring shop with the assistance of a sewing machine that the scheme had given her, reported that her family has become more secure and she expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister.
In Odisha's Malkangiri, Kalpana Raul discussed the Subhadra Yojana, which improved her economic condition.
She said the scheme benefited her children to study in good schools and strengthened the identity of the women. She wished the best for Prime Minister Modi and prayed for his long life and health.
These individual tales reflect the success of government empowerment initiatives, with women all over the nation becoming increasingly self-sufficient and living better lives.
With PM Modi celebrating his 75th birthday, numerous individuals are not just sending their wishes, but also their experiences as instances of the good that these initiatives have created.
