Kottarakkara Gears Up to Host International Women's Film Festival from May 23-25

Scheduled for May 23 to 25, the sixth International Women’s Film Festival will be organized by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy under the Department of Culture, with delegate registration starting at 11 a.m. on Friday. The festival will serve as a recognized platform to showcase global female filmmakers.
The Kottarakkara Minerva Theatre will host screenings on two screens, featuring approximately 25 films, including feature-length and documentary works by female directors, categorized into world of cinema, Indian cinema, and Malayalam cinema.
Selected films by female directors that garnered acclaim at the 29th IFFK will be showcased at the Festival, which is part of the broader Kottarakkara initiative spearheaded by Finance Minister K N Balagopal. The event will also feature open forums and cultural programs.
Online registration for delegates is available at registeration.iifk.im, priced at ₹472 for the general category and ₹236 for students, GST included. Offline registration will also be offered starting May 18 at the organizing committee office located in Chanthamukku, Kottarakkara.
