Khelo India Women's League Wushu North Zone Tournament to be held from November 4 to 7

The SKISC Stadium will host the four-day Khelo India Women's League Wushu North Zone Tournament from November 4 to 7. The competition would feature about 500 female athletes from various teams from 8 States/UTs, including Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Ladakh, Uttrakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Delhi.
The Zonal/National Khelo India Women's League will be held as part of the SAI & MYAS's ongoing efforts to support female athletes in all sports nationwide. The Wushu Association of India and J&K have been congratulated for hosting the Khelo India Wushu Women's Championship in Srinagar by Secretary J&K Sports Council Nuzhat Gull.
“It is a great initiative and concept to promote women athletes across India. I’m really overwhelmed that Wushu Association of India has allotted Khelo India North Zone Women’s League & Khelo India National Wushu Women’s League to Wushu Association of J&K,” Gull said.
In December, Jammu will host the National League. For each of the league's three divisions' various weight categories, a cash prize worth Rs 40 lakh will be given.
The Khelo India Women's League North Zone and National League will be hosted in Jammu and Kashmir, and J&K's female athletes are thrilled about it. The female athletes Sadia Tariq, Kaifa Shah, Munazah Gazi, Ayera & Ana Chesti, Aliza Shah, Riya Chib, Heena, and Madhya have a fantastic opportunity to showcase their abilities and win the Yellow Medal.
A meeting concerning the occasion was conducted in Srinagar, and participants included the Deputy Director SAI Nadeem Ahmad Incharge J&K, Krishan Kumar (Representative from SAI), Sohail Ahmad, Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee), Manish Kacker (Vice President-WAI), P N Azad, Bharneel (General Secretary Wushu Association of J&K), and Vijay Saraf (President Wushu Association of J&K).
