The Kerala Women's Commission (KWC) has announced that it will be hosting a regional consultation meeting of southern states and union territories on Wednesday. To be hosted in Kerala, the meeting has been organized by the National Commission for Women.
The upcoming meet will be attended by representatives from women's commissions, women and child departments, social justice departments, NGOs, and academicians. The representatives will hail from all Southern states, namely Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana as well as the two UTs of Lakshadweep and Puducherry, as stated by a KWC statement.
The meeting will be a one-day one-day consultation. The statement also stated that the meeting will focus on NGOs of Swadhar Grehs centers that come under the Ujjwala Scheme and one-stop centers.
