The Khelo India program is a nationwide project of the Indian government aiming at building a sports culture and presenting India as a strong athletic powerhouse. The 3rd Khelo India Women's North India Judo League, organized by the J&K Judo Association, took place in Srinagar on November 22, 2023.
This was a historic occasion because it was the first time the league visited Kashmir's gorgeous scenery. The tournament provided a forum for young ladies from various parts of North India to demonstrate their proficiency and love for the sport of Judo.
The judo mat saw fierce clashes, with players displaying an amazing combination of power, skill, and sportsmanship. Cheers from both athletes and onlookers filled the air, creating an electrifying environment. The strong reaction demonstrated the genuine enthusiasm of players from around the country to see Kashmir's picturesque valley.
Beyond the athletic spectacle, the 3rd Khelo India Women's North India Judo League aims to encourage and motivate young women to achieve their sports aspirations. The event exemplifies the expanding passion and inclusion in women's sports, generating a culture of competitiveness, friendship, and empowerment.
