Jindal Steel Appoints Afrin Noor as VP, Talent & Strategy

Jindal Steel Ltd. has appointed Afrin Noor as Vice President - Talent & Strategy. Her role will involve spearheading strategic talent management initiatives and leadership development programs in accordance with the vision of the company.
In her role as VP, Talent & Strategy, Afrin will build impactful leadership pipelines and improve workforce effectiveness. In addition, she will be responsible for ensuring that talent and people strategies align with Jindal Steel’s strategic business needs, further cementing the organization’s commitment to developing a future-ready workforce.
Her professional journey spans twenty three years across varied industries including manufacturing, industrial operations, technology, and engineering.
She was most recently associated with Honeywell where she held various top-level positions within the HR function. Over a period of 16 years, she has been instrumental in developing talent management and leadership programs in several emerging Asian countries.
Earlier Afrin was the HR Director – Honeywell Building Automation in India, ASEAN, and East Asia. During her time here, she collaborated with key business leaders to implement strategic workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent and leadership development that contributed to business success and excellence.

Prior to venturing into Honeywell, Afrin had worked with Tata Steel for over seven years. In this role, she was responsible for various HR and industrial relations functions, including recruitment, performance and talent management, learning interventions, organizational restructuring, people planning, and employee engagement initiatives. She also worked with senior management on various projects of the corporation, including M&A initiatives and business strategies that were directly tied to the office of the MD.
With experience drawn from leader effectiveness, industrial relations, workforce planning, and strategic business partnership among others, Afrin combines an effective mix of strategic thinking and practical execution as she embarks on a new challenge. Her capability to link people issues with business objectives will enable her to effectively contribute to organizational capacity building at Jindal Steel.
